Site Assessments
A site assessment gives the planting plan a useful starting point. Red Earth looks at the location, exposure, moisture, existing vegetation, approximate size and the goals for the space before discussing what may fit.
Some enquiries can begin with photos and a conversation, while other properties may need a closer look. A submitted form does not guarantee that a site visit will be offered.
Planting Plans
Becky has years of experience assessing sites and drawing planting plans by hand. A plan can organize the space, show where plants may go and give the project a clearer direction before work begins.
The exact plan and level of detail depend on the project.
Native Planting
Native planting can be used in home landscapes, pollinator areas, shorelines, community sites and other properties where the goal is to work more closely with PEI's plant communities.
Red Earth can discuss plants as part of a wider project or supply plants through the nursery. Selection depends on the site and current availability.
Supporting Work
Depending on the project, supporting work may include invasive plant control, trail or path work and incidental stone placement. These are considered within the needs of the property rather than offered as stand-alone construction or hardscaping services.
